Dr. Assaf Heller
Research Director
Dr. Assaf Heller is Director of Research at the Elrom Center for Air and Space Studies at Tel Aviv University. A graduate of Israel’s elite Talpiot military-academic program, he served in the Israel Defense Forces as a commander in units specializing in operations research, systemic planning, and intelligence research.
Dr. Heller holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an MBA from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University.
His research focuses on issues related to air power force design and on the strategic and operational dimensions of air power employment.
