Dr. Avi Davidi
Senior Researcher
Dr. Avi Davidi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Elrom Center for Air and Space Studies at Tel Aviv University and a lecturer in the MBA program at Ono Academic College. He has studied Iran for more than 36 years in both the United States and Israel and is a recognized expert on the U.S.–Israel–Iran strategic triangle, cyber threat intelligence, state-sponsored offensive cyber operations, cyber influence and espionage, and public diplomacy. In parallel with his academic work, he has been a senior journalist in Persian-language media for over 25 years.
At the Elrom Center, Dr. Davidi’s research focuses on the strategic, military, and geopolitical implications of a potential direct military confrontation between Iran and Israel.
Prior to joining the Center, Dr. Davidi headed the Iran Desk at Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs and served as Head of Persian Digital Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also a Senior Research Fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.
Dr. Davidi is a prominent figure in Persian-language media. He hosted a television program for Voice of America in Washington, D.C., served as Editor-in-Chief of the Persian news website of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Persian edition of The Times of Israel.
Dr. Davidi holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Southern California.
